Series YBBP is made according to "The technical conditions of Explosion-proof(dII)Frequency Control Speed Three-phase Asynchronous Motor ( Seat No. 80-450)" of Q/NF201.2 enterprise standards.

Safe Warnings
1.Should read "Instruction for use" carefully before using.
2. Do not take down any spare parts while switching on.
3. While assembling after repair, the fastening screws and bolts must be fixed up well.
4.When need to replace if the explosion-proof parts are corrosive or damaged, must contact the producer for changing, shouldn't replace it by yourself arbitrarily.
5. The motor should be used in conjunction with the appropriate transducer, and adopt the appropriate temperature-control measures to monitor the surface temperature of motor case to prevent the motor surface temperature exceeding the limit to cause an explosion risk.
6. The motor with IC411 cooling method is mainly applied to the fans and pumps (except the Roots blower and hydraulic pump) with square law (or the square minus the torque) load characteristics.

1. Summary
1.1  YBBP Explosion-proof frequency control speed three-phase asynchronous motor (hereafter refers to as: Motor) is used for the places where there is explosive gas, as driver.
1.2  There is clear permanent protruding mark " Ex " on the upper right corner of the nameplate and its crust, there also is the explosion-proof mark on the nameplate: Including three parts of mark, type and classification.

2, Motor type and its meaning
2.1 The instruction is suitable for the YBBP80~450 series motor :
2.2 Codes of motor type:
Ybbp Series Flameproof Frequency Control Speed Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor OEM/ODM3. The use conditions of motor
3.1 Conditions for used environment:
3.1.1 Elevation does not surpass 1000m.
3.1.2 Surrounding temperature varies with season and does not exceed +40ºC.
3.1.3 Minimum ambient air temperature -15 ºC.
    Note: If the motor operates at an altitude of over 1000m or under the conditions of the maximum ambient air temperature is above or below +40 ºC, should be in accordance with the provisions of GB755.
4.2.4 The monthly average maximum relative humidity of the most humidity month of ambient is 90%, while the monthly average minimum temperature of this month is not higher than 25 ºC.
4.2.5 The flammable gas of T1 ~ T4 group with the ignition temperature group, or the places where there is explosive mixture formed with vapor and air.

3.2 The electric conditions of motor
3.2.1 The rated frequency of motor is 50Hz, Frequency range: 2 pole is 3 ~ 60Hz, 4 pole and above is 3 ~ 100Hz. 3-50Hz is the constant torque, 50Hz or above is the constant power.
3.2.2 The rated voltage of frame No. 132 and below motor is 380V or 660V; the rated voltage of frame No. 160 ~ 225 motor is 380/660V; the rated voltage of frame No. 250 and above motor is 380/660V, 660 / 1140V. When the rated voltage of motor is 380/660V, should use three-phase AC variable frequency power with 380V or 660 rated voltage, when the rated voltage of motor is 660/1140V, should use three-phase AC variable frequency power with 660V or 1140V rated voltage.

3.2.3. The motor should be matched inverter for using, the inverter is for the current type or voltage type, we
suggest to choose the explosion-proof converter with the same explosion-proof level as the motor, if choose non-explosion-proof inverter, you need to install the inverter in the safe places without explosion-proof requirements. If the length of power line between the inverter and the motor is more than 10m, we suggest increasing the filter at the output end of the inverter to reduce the harmonic content of the frequency power. If the vibration of motor increases obviously at a frequency band during modulating the frequency, can set it by the inverter and skip this frequency band. The harmonic content of inverter is less than 5%, the allowed pulse amplitude rated voltage value at motor terminal is not more than 2.2 times, the rising time of voltage at motor terminal is greater than 400ns
3.2.4The working mode is for S1 (continual working system).
3.2.5 The stator windings adopt Grade insulation system or F Grade insulation system.
3.2.6 The small motor using for forced ventilation, its using power is independent three-phase AC power with the 380V or 660V rated voltage, 50Hz rated frequency (the voltage also can be customized according to the requirements of users).
3.2.7 The motor with IC411cooling method and FM range 3 ~ 60Hz, mainly using for square law load (also known as square reduce torque load); for the motor with IC416 cooling method and FM range 3-50Hz is using for constant torque load; 50Hz and above is using for constant power load, the load mechanical properties shown as Figure 1 ~ Figure 3, the compare relationship of frame number, power, rotating speed shown as Table

      Note: When the environmental conditions and electrical conditions that the motor uses do not meet the provisions of paragraph 3.1,3.2, see the requirements of nameplate and sign of the motor.
4 The explanation of structure
4.1 The protective grade of main-body crust IP55, the explosion-proof structure see the Attached figure 1
4.2 The stator windings of motor adopt polyester lacquer covered round copper wire, the windings of stator core was gone through VPI dipping lacquer and make them into a whole, the windings and the insulation have good electric, mechanical, moisture-proof performance and the thermostability, the rotor belongs to squirrel-cage rotor, which is fixed on the axis through the hot jacket craft, and then revise its balance, so as to make the motor run steadily with slight vibration.
4.3 The basic structure and installation type of this series motor are IMB3, IMB35, IMB5. IMV1, can make according to users' special needs.
4.4 The cooling mode of motor is IC411 whole-seal natural cooling fan or IC416 forced ventilation..
4.5 The motor has a cylindrical axle extension, which runs through the coupling or the spur gear, when running through spur gear, its pitch diameter shouldn't be smaller than 3 times of axle extension diameter. According to the requests of ordering, also may produce the double axle-extension motor or the special axle-extension motor.
4.6The junction box of motor is on the top of seat. There are three terminals in the box, which is suitable for single-phase voltage. The junction box of 6 terminals is suitable for double voltage. If the motor use double-inlet junction box, the external wiring cable is wiring singly, another inlet must be stopped with plugging rod, and sealed at both sides of sealing ring with metal gaskets at the thick of not less than 2mm, then compress them on the sealing ring with the hopper of junction box, to make sure the explosion-proof performance of junction box, PTC or PT100 temperature-measuring have the dedicated outlets. A separate steel or brass plated screw in terminal box is used for inner grounding, the outlet of junction box is suitable for rubber cables, wiring of steel pipe and explosion-proof flexible pipe (armored cable), the protection class of junction box is IP55, the structure of junction box shown as Attached figure 2-3.
4.7. The stator windings come with the stator winding temperature devices, the users need to set the temperature protection device, should cut off the power when the temperature of the stator winding reaches 140 ºC,  to prevent the surface temperature of motor exceeding the limit; in addition, can increase the temperature-measuring component of bearing according to the needs of users. The structure of temperature-measuring junction box shows as Attached figure 3.
4.8 Motor adopts the rolling bearing, the bearing trademark shown as the stipulations of nameplate; The shaft-through part adopts the oil seal of framework or V shaft sealing ring structure or skeleton oil-sealing structure.                                 
5. Tips of explosion-separate motor
5.1 when designing the motor, we have fully considered, when the explosive mixture enter into the motor and blast for a certain reason, and won't cause the explosive mixture outside the motor blast, as well as adopt the measure that prevent the dust from entering into the inner of crust, and then satisfy the motor crust's intensity, form the clearance of explosion-proof interface. Also can adopt limit the diameter difference, length and the disallowance dangerous temperature to determine its explosion-proof performance and explosion-separation performance.
5.1.1 Importance of explosion-proof and explosion-separate:
The clearance and creepage distance between every explosion-proof interface, between the bare conductors inside the junction box and between the exposed conductor and metal crust shown as Attached figure 2-3.
5.1.2 The permitted surface temperature that the motor runs under the stipulated working conditions conforms to the stipulations of Table 2, the intake temperature of cable is not higher than the allowed temperature of cable, so as to guarantee the cable can run reliably.

5.2In order to guarantee the explosion-proof performance of crust, the bolts must be installed the tighten washers to prevent the bolts from loosening by itself, after fastening the bolts and airtight screws, there should be space between the bolt and its bottom, the metal thickness around the airtight screw on the crust shouldn't be smaller than 1/3 of worm aperture, as least 3mm.
5.3 The cable introduced into the junction box of motor need to be sealed with elastic sealing ring in inlet, the Shore hardness of sealing ring is 45~55°, its size shows as Figure 7, its materials accord with the specified aging test requirements of appendix D3.3 of GB3836.1. the cable diameter entered into the junction box should match with the pore diameter of sealing ring, there are a couple of concentric circle grooves on the up of sealing ring, can adjust the pore diameter according to the diameter of cable, when compress the hopper of junction box, should ensure there isn't any clearance between the sealing ring and cable, the sealing ring and the seat of junction box, otherwise will lose the explosion-proof performance.
5.4 The terminal sheath in junction box or the insulation parts of connection board all adopt II grade insulation materials.
5.5 Grounding: Its grounding belongs to creepage-proof, it is the important safe measure. The grounding terminal on crust is steel or copper galvanized bolt, which is in the obvious place on the crust with the earthing sign "  Ybbp Series Flameproof Frequency Control Speed Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor OEM/ODM    ".
5.6 Explosion-proof components include: Seat, end cover, axis (rotor), inner cap of bearing, outer cover of bearing, seat of junction box, cover of junction box, wiring bolt, terminal sheath, connection board, sealing ring, shown as Attached figure 1-4.
6. Operation and use requirements of motor
6.1 Preparation before installing
Check whether the packaging is intact before unpacking.
6.1.2 Should clean out the dust on the motor and antirust on the edge of axle carefully after unpacking.
6.1.3 Check whether the nameplate (including assistant sign) accord with the requests of ordering contract and on-the-spot situation.
6.1.4 Must check the following items before installing, if does not conform to the requirements, and then doesn't be allowed to use.
a) Check whether there are explosion-proof mark and certificate number, and should check whether the explosion-proof mark conforms to the environmental requirements of explosive gas and flammable dust.
b) Check whether all bolts are tightened, the spring washers lose or not, check whether the connection between parts is proper;
c) Check whether there is any crackle at explosion-proof parts and the deficiencies that influence the explosion-proof performance (No check for the new motor).
d) Keep the oil pipe unimpeded.
e) For the motor with bearing temperature measuring, when set the temperature measuring up well, should avoid the leading line of temperature measuring device at the fan end from touching the fan, and causing the accident.

6.2 For the motor that has passed the long-distance transportation or has not use for a long time, must check the insulated resistance between the stator windings and shell before using, its value should not be lower than 3×UN/1000 MΩ (UN rated voltage, unit V), otherwise must dry the motor until the insulated resistance is up to the fixed value.
6.3 While installing the motor, should keep the center line of motor is consisted of the center line of transmission machine to avoid the damage. And should inspect whether the screws and pins of coupling or spur gear are loose, the machine can run normally or not, whether there is the jamming and abnormal sound, etc.
6.4 Check whether the bolts of motor are firm, whether the crust can earth reliably or earth naught.
6.5 When the variable frequency motor is for B5 installation, and comes with the forced ventilation motor, should notice to support it with proper bracket to make sure the installation of motor.
6.6 Check whether the protection device conform to the requirements, whether the installation is reliable.
6.7 Check whether the wiring of starter is correct, the starting device is flexible or not, whether its metal crusts can earth reliable or earth naught.
6.8 Check whether 3-phase voltage is normal, whether the voltage is too high, too low or dissymmetry and so on.
6.9 Check the bearing and lubricate system to see whether the bearing lubricant is short, dry, when needing, must supply properly, clean or replace the lubricant.
6.10 The connection of motor and power
6.10.1. The junction box is at the top of motor, the hopper of junction box (the rubber cable is horn mouth, the steel pipe is pipe thread, the armored cable is pipe thread) is connected into the horizontal position with junction box, if rotating the junction box 180 °, can introduce the line from the other side. And can choose the cable correctly according to the using current and using conditions of motor.
6.10.2 The wiring method of motor:

a) There are three terminals in junction box, and its symbols are U, V, W, the wiring method shown as Figure 8.

b) The motor with 6 terminals in junction box, can change the wiring through the linking piece, suitable for the needs of two kinds of different voltage. Its symbols are U1, U2, V1, V2, W1, W2, the wiring method should refer to the voltage on nameplate. The wiring method shown as Figure 9.

c) Tmperature-measuring of stator winding and heater, its outgoing line can be in the main terminal box, also can set terminal box separately. The diagram of outgoing line sees Figure 10.
The phase-sequence of motor U, V, W should be in correspond with the external power phase-sequence A, B, C, the motor will run by clockwise by looking from the shaft extension end, otherwise the motor will reverse, when the rotating direction is inconsistent of the requests, can exchange any two ends of exterior power, and then can change its running direction.
6.10.3 While wiring, the cable core should be between two arch washers or tension disc, the earth wire should be between the arch gasket of grounding bolt, and should earth reliably to guarantee it can contact well and the clearance's needs.
6.10.4 Should check whether there are any sundries, dust in box, and check whether the wiring conforms to the stipulations of voltage and nameplate after wiring, make sure all is correct and then can fix up the cover of junction box.
6.10.5 The cable entering into the junction box, should fix with lathedog on the hopper of junction box to avoid loosing.
6.10.6 The outer grounding bolts should earth reliably.
6.10.7 The motor with rotation direction requests, its rotation should conform to the stipulations of assistant sign, if not, should adjust in time.
6.10.8After wiring, should check there isn't any wrong and then can carry on running in. for the motor with the auxiliary fan, should start the motor of auxiliary blower first, then start the main motor. When shutdown, also should shut down the motor of auxiliary blower first, and should check whether there is abnormal phenomenon, if it is going well and then can go on normal running.
6.10.9 No matter the motor runs under unloading or loading, shouldn't send out the spiccato or unusual sound and vibration.
6.11 Attentions while starting
6.11.1 After switching on, if the motor does not operate, should switch off rapidly and decisively in order to
avoid burning down the motor, when find out the reason and then restart the motor.
6.11.2. When more than one motor use the same inverter jointly to supply power, do not start at the same time, but should start one by one in descending order. .
6.11.3. When starting the motor through dropping down the voltage, must be in unloading or underloading, it is allowed to start 2 times for motor in cooling state, one time for heating state.
6.11.4. When shutdown, for the motor with IC416 forced ventilation structure, first need to cut off the power of variable frequency motor, then cut off the power of forced ventilation small motor after shut down 10 minutes.
7. Maintenance and repair of motor
7.1 Should maintain and repair the motor, month service and year service, namely minor repair and overhaul.
7.1.1 Content of month service/ minor repair:
7.1.1.1 Clean out the dust and dirt on the motor, measure the insulating resistance.
7.1.1.2 Check the terminals of motor: Check whether the bolts (nuts) on junction box are loose, screw on the nuts, if necessary, should replace it.
7.1.1.3 Check the bolts (nuts) and wires of every part: Check the grounding bolts (nuts), end over, the bolts on inner and outer covers of bearing, and check the connection of grounding wire and installation situation.
7.1.1.4 Check bearings and lubricant system of motor: check whether the lubricant is dirty, dry, when lacks, must supply or clear in time, if necessary, should replace.
7.1.1.5 Check whether the motor fan is damaged, whether the installation is firm, whether the bolts (nuts) are loose, damaged, attrited and distorted, if necessary, should replace.
7.1.2 Annual maintenance or overhaul's content:
7.1.2.1 The content of annual maintenance or overhaul includes the monthly maintenance or minor repair's content.
7.1.2.2 Checkup of the motor's exterior: Check whether there is any damage, the spare part are complete or not, clean out the dust and dirt completely and repair the damaged parts.
7.1.2.3 Clean-up and check-up of the motor's interior:
(a) Check the stator windings' pollution and damage, clean out the dust and dirt on the stator, if there is oily dirt on stator windings, should wipe it out with dry cloth first, and then rub up with the dry cloth dipped little gasoline, at the same time check the winding insulation to see whether there is any aging trace or any falling phenomena. If has, should repair and varnish in time. (b) Check the rotor windings' pollution and damage situation to see whether there is rupture, defile, unweld. (c) Check the iron core of stator and rotor to see whether they are distorted, if has, should repair in time.
7.1.2.4 Inspection of windings:
(a) Check whether the stator windings and rotor windings take place phase fault, interturn short circuit, open circuit, unsoldering, burnning out and other phenomena, should repair according to the found question.             (b) Measure the insulated resistance of every part with the megameter, and its value should be bigger than1MΩ. 
7.1.2.5 Clean out the bearing and check its attrite situation: (a) Stir the bearing back and forth for many times in the gasoline vessel, afterwards turn over its outer, during turning, clean it in another gasoline vessel, while installing, may use the heating sleeve method, but the oil temperature should below 100ºC, moreover should heat up evenly; (b) Check the surface of bearing, ball bearing and axle ring, if appears the blue purple, show the bearing has been heated and annealing, if it is too serious should replace the bearing; (c) If possible, should measure the inner diameter, outer diameter, the width of the bearing.
7.1.2.6 Run-in after repairing: If the windings of motor is good, generally should go on running in 30 minutes after overhauling, measure the insulate resistance, check whether every part can run normally,and then can go on load operating.
7.2 While the motors running, the bearing temperature should not be higher than 95ºC (thermometer), should check one time after the bearing operates 2500h, if the lubricant deteriorate, must replace promptly. Clean up the scrap oil in bearing, the bearing needs to be cleaned with the gasoline. Add the grease directly while assemble the bearing: 2P  the fuel capacity is 1/2 of net volume of bearing chamber, 4P and above standard electric motors, the fuel capacity is 2/3 of net volume of bearing chamber. Add the fuel with oiling cup while the motor is operating, 2P motor runs 2000h, 4P and above motor runs 3000h, need to fill  25 ~ 45g, the fuel capacity will increase with the increase of seat number. Bearing grease is lithium grease generally: L-XBCHA3, the special grease is indicated in the signs.
7.3 While disassembling and assembling the motor, the processing surface should be spreaded 204-1 antirust to avoid the rust or damage.
7.4 When draw out or cut in the rotor, should prevent the stator windings and the insulation from being damaged.
7.5 When replace the windings, should change the data of windings and insulation structure, otherwise will make some or some several performances worsen, so as not to be used any more.
7.6 If the sealing ring of junction box is aging, should replace it in time.
7.7 If the V- shaft seal ring or framework oil seal on tandemaxles are aging or abrasing, should replace timely.
7.8 when assembling after disassembling, should clean up the explosion-proof surface, and make sure there isn't any small debris, then daub on 204-1 anti-rust grease, also should guarantee there is no gap on the joint surface.
8. Common trouble and solution:
8.1Commonl electric troubles and solutions shown as Table 3:

2, After the motor is switched on, the melt is burnt out. 1) single-phase starting 1) Check the power wire, the leading wire, fuse, every contact points of switch and find out the broken wire or breakdown to repair.
  2) The motor overload or is blocked. 2) Adjust the load to the rated value, and get rid of  the mechanical trouble
  3) The melt section is too small. 3) It doesn't work for the melt to the overload of motor, should choose the melt according to the following equation generally: Rated current of melt = Starting current/(2~3)
  4) short circuit between the power and motor 4) Check the short-circuit place and then repair.
3, The motor doesn't start with humming soundafter switching on. 1) The motor overload or is blocked. 1) Check the equipment and fix the breakdown
  2) Haven't put through the power completely 2) Replace the melt of fuse; screw on the loose bolts; Find out the broken wire and trouble with the multi-meter and then repair.
  3) The voltage is too low.  3) if connect Y coupling by mistake instead of △ coupling, when the voltage is too low, should contact with the power supply department to solve, if voltage-dropping of power circuit is too large and cause the voltage is too low, should replace the thick cable.
  4)  For minitype motor, the lubricant is hard or the assembly is too tight 4) Chooses the appropriate lubricant to improve the quality of assembly
4, The crust of motorhas electricity. 1) Make mistake for the power wire and the grounding wire. 1) correct the mistake
  2) The windings of motor are affected with damp, insulation is bad aging . 2) Dry the motor, and replace the aging insulation.
  3) The leading wire and junction box earth 3) Wrap up or renewal the insulation of leading wire, repair the junction box.

5, It is difficult to start the motor, but its rotating speed is lower than rated rotate speed after adding the rated load.
1) The power voltage is too low 1) Check the voltage of inputting end with the voltmeter or multi-meter and then handle with it.
  2) Connect Y coupling by mistake instead of △ coupling 2) Change them.
  3) The cage rotor welds out or ruptures. 3) Repair it after checking
  4)The windings are too much when rerolling. 4) Rerolling according to correct winding number.
6, The insulated  resistance is low 1)The windings is affected with damp or is caught by rain. 1) Heat or dry it.
  2)The insulation of windings is aging 2) May clean and dry it for using if can continue to use through checking. If insulation is aging and can't run safe, then need to replace the insulation.
7, Send out the cacophony, abnormal while the motor is running. 1) The bearing is worn out, with breakdown 1) Overhaul or replace the new bearing
  2) The iron cores of stator and rotor are loose. 2) Check the vibration reason, reimpact the iron core.
  3) The voltage is too high or unbalanced. 3) Measure the voltage, find out the reasons and fix it.
  4) The bearing lacks the lubricant 4) Clean the bearing, add the lubricant and make it fill in 1/2~1/3 of the bearing room.
  5) The fan runs into its cover or the air tunnel is stopped up. 5) Repair the fan and cover, with correct size, clean up the air tunnel.
  6) the air gap is uneven, the stator abrades the rotor each other. 6) Adjust the air gap and improve the assembly quality

8, The motor is superheating or smoking.
1) The voltage of power is too high and makes the density of iron core supersaturate, and cause the temperature to be high. 1) if the voltage surpasses the standard too much, should contact with the power supply department to solve.
  2) The voltage of power is too low, the temperature of motor is too high under the rated load. 2) If caused by the voltage of power wire, can replace more thick wire. If caused by the lower power voltage, can contact the power supply department, and enhance the power voltage
  3) The iron cores of stator and rotor abrade each other. 3) Check the reasons of trouble, if the gap between bearings exceeds the limit, then should replace the bearing; If the rotating axis is curving, then must straighten it, if iron core becomes loose or distort, should handle with it in time and fix the trouble.
  4) The motor overloads or the mechanical resistance is too large and cause the motor to heat. 4) Fix the mechanical breakdown, reduce the resistance, according to the indication of current, if surpass the rated current, must reduce the load and replace a motor of large capacity or limit the capacity.
  5) It is frequent to start the motor or it is too much for the times of forward and reverse. 5) Reduce the times of starting and forward and reverse times, or change the proper motor.
  6) The fan is in trouble with bad ventilation. 6) Check whether the fan is damaged, check whether the fan blade is distorted or unfixed well, when necessary, should replace the fan.
9, The current is too unbalanced while the motor runs in. 1)The power voltage is unbalanced
  1. Measure the voltage and find out the reasons.
  2) The windings are in trouble, like as interturn short circuit, some winding is connected in reverse, etc. 2) Disassemble the motor and check the pole and trouble, and then correct or fix the breakdown.
  3) While rerolling, the numbers of three-phase windings are uneven. 3) Reroll

2, the bearing overheats.
 
1) The lubricant is too much or too little. 1) Add the lubricant correctly according to the instruction.
2) The quality of oil is bad with impurities. 2) Check the oil to see whether it contains the impurities and replace the pure lubricant.
3) It is too tight for the oil seal. 3) Replace or repair the oil seal
4) The inner cover deflects and abrades the axis 4) Repair the inner cover of bearing and keep it proper gap with the axis.
5) The end covers on both side of motor or the covers of bearings are uneven. 5) Install them correctly and screw on the bolts

7) The connection of motor and transmission system deflects or the transmission belt is too tight. 7) Adjust the center line and the tension of transmission belt.

9. The storing and transportation of motor
9.1 Should keep in the dry storehouse with - 15~+40ºC ambient temperature, which relative humidity isn't  bigger than 90%, and there shouldn't be the caustic gas in the air with good draught and steady temperature.
9.2 Shouldn't pile up too high while storing, so as not to influence the draught and damage the packing of below products.
9.3 No inverting during storing and transporting the motors.
9.4 Should protect the axis extension, shouldn't drag the motor with the string that hitches in the axle extension.
9.5 Should notice to protect the oil cup, the temperature-measuring device of bearing and its leading wire, the temperature-measuring of stator winding, as well as anti-wet heating device and its leading wire.
